Welcome to another Minecraft 1.18 redstone Tutorial.

This time I am looking at how to build an 8×4 Piston door, simply, without using flying machines.

This design is really simple and easy to make. The one circuit you need to learn for it is a basic double piston extender.

This is a really compact 8×4 Piston Door, using a really simple double piston extender design.

This design could easily be modified to build a simple 4×4 Piston door or a 6×4 Piston Door. Or even a 10X4 Piston Door. Just by adding more or less layers to the design.

I love making piston doors. This is my absolute biggest yet, and it probably has the simplest design.

You will need:

  • Pink wool
  • Obsidian
  • Redstone
  • Sticky Pistons
  • Blocks of your choice
  • Repeaters
  • Slabs
  • Slime blocks
  • Honey blocks
